Management plan for Las Perlas Archipelago

 

The Panama Marine Resources Authority (ARAP, in Spanish ), gave the order to proceed to the consulting company The Louis Berger Group, INC. And ANCON, for the elaboration of an Integrated Marine Coastal Management Plan of Las Perlas Archipelago.

The order to proceed was signed by ARAP´s Administrator, Diana Araúz and the Coordinator of Environmental Projects , Irina Madrid, from the Louis Berger Group, the consulting company that´ll be in charge of gathering and validating all the collected information which will allow a diagnosis for the development of an Action Plan and also to start the formal adoption of the Coastal Management Plan.

They´ll also develop an strategy and aggressive environmental campaign to implement the prohibitions and restrictions proposed by Law No. 18  of May, 2007, which creates as a Special Management Zone the Las Perlas Archipelago.
