“Incubation System for Business Development of the Republic of Panama” , is the name of the project that´ll be executed by the Micro, Small and Medium Companies Authority (Ampyme), which will have a cost over US$4 million. The goal of such plan is to contribute to the socioeconomic and sustainable development of the country through the encouragement of entrepreneurship and will have as support institutions the University of Panama, the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá and the Universidad Latina. During a recent meeting between Ampyme´s minister, Giselle Burillo, with the rectors of these universities , it was clarified that the execution period of this project will be 30 months and the expenditure period of the funds will be of 36 months. The funds will be financed through the government of Taiwan ($500,000), participating universities ($500,000 in kind), and the Panama government ($3 million, 190,840 balboas)
