Everything ready for Expocomer 2010

From March 3 to 6 will take place Expocomer 2010, at the Atlapa Convention Center,  the biggest and most important fair in the region, with a 97% of the exhibition ground already sold to more than 30 countries in America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, as it was reported  by the Commerce, Industries and Agriculture Chamber of Panama  (CCIAP), in charge of organizing this event.

Inocencio Galindo, president of Expocomer, explained that this year is the 28th anniversary of the event and that each year they carry on business negotiations for US$115 million.
It is estimated that Expocomer leaves economic earnings to the country between US$25 and US$30 million, benefitting airlines, hotels, restaurants and related activities.
Galindo said that this year they´ll present a “Symposium on Handling of Crisis”, which will include the participation of panelists of recognized trajectory. Among them they expect to concrete the attendance of five Latin American former presidents, among them: Ernesto Samper from Colombia, Francisco Flores from El Salvador, and Rafael Callejas  from Honduras.
This symposium will take place on March 5, probably between 1:00 p.m, y 5:00 p.m. and will be chaired by recognized journalist  from CNN in Spanish, Alberto Padilla.

Meanwhile , Alejandra Álvarez, coordinator of  Expocomer said that they have sold 97% of the square meters of the exhibition area.
More than 30 countries will participate in the fair, among them : : Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, Continental China, France , Colombia, and others.
Among the commercial missions that will be there are: Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Antilles and others.
Also the web page www.expocomer.com has been enabled for the Panamanian entrepreneurs to register and make business with more than 600 companies.
For march 4 , the company London & Regional Panamá will develop the project Panama Pacific in the Special Economic Area , at the old naval base of Howard, , with the lecture “A new hub for world trade is developed in a planned community” (“Un nuevo hub para el comercio mundial se desarrolla en una comunidad planificada”).
This same day, but in the afternoon, will take place the launching cocktail of Expo Logística Panamá, taking advantage of the visit of more than 10.000 persons who attend the fair.
Likewise, the fair´s organizers informed that, for third year in a row, the CCIAP, along with the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation  (Senacyt) will award the National Prize to Innovation. Such award is given to innovative and enterprising Panamanians or companies who outstand for their commercial or industrial activities.
