Carnivals in David suspended
|
The lack of security measures in the area where there was going to take place the Carnival in David, forced authorities to suspend this year the Momo parties, published daily La Estrella de Panamá.
After evaluations made by the National System of Civil Protection (Sinaproc), in David, it was suspended the celebration of this event, which had been scheduled for next week. Also, recommendations were made to the authorities and the mayorship of the district regarding the danger it represented for the public that goes to these parties and for the neighbors.
José Donderis, director of the National System of Civil Protection , said there´s a gas station very close to the place where the activities would take place and that the security of the pedestrians and the Vía Porras and Avenida Obaldía are strategic points to attend any emergency case.
