The daily indicates that currently the country has agreements of double taxing with Chile, Spain, France, Peru, Russia, Argentina, the Netherlands and the United States, by means of which they do not pay taxes in Panama. However, the impact will be felt by Copa Airlines, Avianca, Aires and Aero República de Colombia, Mexicana de Aviación, Taca from Salvador, Santa Bárbara Airlines and Venezolana, from this country. Also included will be Air Panamá y Aeroperlas, who provide local service. During 2008, airlines reported US$1.billion in income, of which US$246.5 million were taxable. They paid in taxable income US$7.3 million; and in income tax (ISR), US$3.4 million.
