Del Mar Fair in Bocas
Del Mar Fair in Bocas Colón Island is the main entrance to this tourist paradise which stands out in the entire region. It has all the characteristics of the Caribbean. This archipelago discovered by Christopher Columbus in his fourth trip is full of paradoxes; for instance, in September, while the rest of the country is facing the most intense month of the rainy season, Bocas Island has bright sunny days, blue skies, and good climate. This is the reason why from the 12th to the 21st the Del Mar Fair is celebrated.

Renaissance arrives in Panamá
Close to US$40 million will be invested by Marriott International, Inc. on the new hotel of the Renaissance trade mark, which will be introduced in 2011, under a management agreement with Hotel Properties of Panama, Inc. Ed Fuller, president and managing director of international lodging for Marriott International, also announced that the Renaissance Panama Hotel will be part of a project of mixed-use twin towers.

Colores del Mar y Tierras exhibit
In La Galeria restaurant of the Crowne Plaza Panamá Hotel, the “Colores del Mar y Tierras” exhibit was opened on August 14 and will remain opened to the public through September 14. The works are creations of the Costa Rican artists Ana Rita Rosales and Marcia Salas.
